This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we keep a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the pictured unit. Intended use: hard drive repair and data recovery. Before buying, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verifying compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs hold drive-specific parameters in a ROM ('memory') chip; that information is required for proper operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
