This listing includes ONLY the hard drive circuit board (PCB/logic board). No hard drive is supplied. Because we have a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery use. Before purchasing, consult our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a replacement board will address your problem, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM or its contents must be transferred or programmed on the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If moving the ROM chip is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers who spend $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
