This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB shipped may vary slightly from the photo. The board is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before ordering, consult our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a PCB replacement is the appropriate remedy, and use the Donor Matching Guide to ensure part compatibility. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique calibration/configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be moved to the replacement board; if the chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the task. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
