This sale includes only the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board). No hard drive or additional parts are provided. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for use in data recovery or hard drive repair projects. Before purchasing, verify whether a PCB swap will solve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If transfer of the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform that task. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
