This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive is NOT included. Because we maintain a large stock of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before ordering, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility against the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service — we will either move the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
