This sale is for a hard drive circuit board/logic board (PCB) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we have a large inventory, the actual PCB shipped may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair or data recovery. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique ROM (memory) data that is required for the drive to function; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
