This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / Logic board) ONLY — the actual hard drive is not included. Because we have a large quantity of PCBs in stock, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will address your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper operation; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For customers with purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement with the correct ROM data.
