This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Because we have a large stock, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is meant for hard drive repair or data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm compatibility by following our Donor Matching Guide and consult the hard drive diagnostics guide to determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your problem. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for correct operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved to the new PCB, a local computer technician can usually perform that transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto your new board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
