This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is provided. Because we maintain a large inventory, the board you receive may differ slightly in appearance from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repairs. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will address your drive’s problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Western Digital PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM memory chip; that ROM content is required for proper drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
