This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for hard drive repair and data recovery, this replacement board can be used when attempting to restore drive functionality. Before ordering, run our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a PCB swap will address your issue, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store essential, unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If you are unable to perform the transfer, a local computer technician can usually move the chip for you. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
