This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock large quantities, the actual PCB shipped may differ slightly in appearance from the photo. The board is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB replacement will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most replacement PCBs contain a unique ROM "memory" chip that stores essential drive data; that chip or its contents must be transferred to or programmed into the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the new board with the correct ROM data.
