This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the hard drive is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These boards are intended for HDD repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs contain a unique ROM "memory" chip whose data is required for the drive to operate correctly; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
