This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks, this replacement PCB can be used only when compatible with your drive. Confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM “memory” chip; that ROM or its contents must be migrated to the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If possible, a local computer technician can relocate the ROM chip to the new PCB. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either physically moving the ROM chip onto the replacement board or reprogramming the PCB with the correct ROM data.
