This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper drive operation. That ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
