This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in the ROM memory chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transplant yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
