This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most HDD PCBs contain unique ROM ("memory") data required for normal drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
