This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is NOT included. We maintain a large stock, so the actual PCB shipped may differ slightly from the pictured unit. The board is intended for HDD repair and data recovery use. Most hard drive PCBs store unique data in the ROM 'memory' chip; that data is required for correct drive operation, so the ROM chip or its contents must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If the chip can be transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the task.
