This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we keep a large inventory, the specific PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or HDD repair. Before purchasing, confirm compatibility by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board (or the replacement board reprogrammed). If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
