This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we have a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repairs. To confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your problem, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly, so the ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
