This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the specific board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before buying, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by reviewing our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive PCBs contain a unique ROM "memory" chip that stores essential data required for the drive to operate. That ROM chip, or its contents, must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip for you. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
