This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique drive-specific data in a ROM ("memory") chip; that information is required for the drive to operate. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that will either physically move the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
