This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for data recovery and HDD repair use, this board is intended to replace a faulty PCB in compatible Western Digital drives. To confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your problem, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information on a ROM ("memory") chip; that data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
