This sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We stock a large number of PCBs, so the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and check compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store critical calibration and configuration in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement circuit board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
