This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. The board is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery use. To confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most HDD PCBs contain unique drive-specific data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip itself or its data must be moved to or programmed onto the replacement circuit board. If the chip can be transferred, a local computer technician should be able to perform that work. For orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
