This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We have a large inventory of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery applications. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function correctly; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If transfer of the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
