This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no HDD is included. Because we keep a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board shipped may look slightly different from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm a PCB swap is the correct fix by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip itself or its contents must be transferred or written to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
