This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no hard drive is included! Because we maintain a large stock, the exact PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This replacement circuit board is intended for data recovery and hard drive repair. Most PCBs contain essential settings stored on a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for proper drive operation. Either the ROM chip itself or its data must be moved to the replacement board. If the chip can be transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the operation. For orders of $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
