This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: PCB replacement for hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, verify compatibility by following our Donor Matching Guide and run diagnostics using our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue. Most WD SATA 3.5 PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If possible, a local computer technician can transplant the ROM chip. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
