This sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verifying compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs include unique data stored in the ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly. That ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer; alternatively the ROM data can be reprogrammed onto the new PCB. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
