Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Most WD PCBs include unique information stored in the ROM (memory) chip that is essential for correct drive operation; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can typically move the ROM chip.
