This listing includes the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — hard drive is NOT included. Because we stock many PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The part is designed for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Many drive circuit boards contain a unique ROM "memory" chip that holds essential data required for the drive to function correctly; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a qualified local computer technician can usually perform the transfer.
