Listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Due to our large stock, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before assuming a replacement board will resolve your issue, consult our hard drive diagnostics guide. Confirm compatibility by reviewing the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs hold unique data in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement circuit board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For customers with purchases of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
