This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Most WD PCBs include a ROM (memory) chip that holds unique data required for correct drive operation; that ROM or its contents must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the ROM can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
