Product is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for HDD repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement board will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many drive PCBs store unique data in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM information is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred or reprogrammed on the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
