This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — NO HARD DRIVE INCLUDED. Because we stock many compatible PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are intended for HDD repair or data-recovery use. Before ordering, consult our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a replacement PCB is likely to resolve your issue, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Western Digital PCBs store unique configuration data in the ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip (or its data) must be moved or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the task. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
