This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY. No hard drive is included! Because we stock large quantities, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards hold unique information in a ROM 'memory' chip that is required for proper drive operation; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement PCB. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip to the new board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
