This listing includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Many WD PCBs contain unique information in the ROM ("memory") chip that is required for the drive to function correctly; that ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer.
