Sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We maintain a large inventory, so the PCB you receive may vary slightly from the pictured item. This board is intended for use in HDD repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM ("memory") chip that is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
