Product is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY. No hard drive or other components are included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain a unique ROM "memory" chip that stores crucial drive parameters. That ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service which covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
