Item is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair and data-recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by using our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
