This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB shipped may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: HDD repair and data recovery. Before ordering, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirming compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique ROM "memory" data required for correct operation; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip or reprogram the board. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
