This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. To verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your drive issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration and calibration data in a ROM memory chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be copied or moved to the replacement board. If physical transplantation of the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform that task. For customers with purchases of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
