This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock multiple PCB variants, the board you receive may differ slightly from the pictured item. Intended use: hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a PCB replacement will address your problem and review the Donor Matching Guide to ensure compatibility. Most WD PCBs contain unique calibration/configuration data in a ROM memory chip that is required for proper drive operation. That ROM or its data must be moved to the replacement board; if the chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the job. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
