Product is the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock large quantities of these PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery projects. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB is likely to resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
