This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the physical hard drive is not included. Because we have a large inventory of compatible PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Also verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs store critical, unique information in the ROM chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer, a local computer technician can usually move the chip for you. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip to the new PCB or program the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
