This sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Due to large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Before purchasing, use our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide to confirm a PCB swap will likely fix the problem and check compatibility via the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive circuit boards store unique information in a ROM “memory” chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
