This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we maintain large quantities of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the picture. This PCB is designed for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique, essential data stored in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
