Product is the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no hard drive enclosure or platters are included. Because we stock large quantities of these boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This circuit board is intended for HDD repair and data recovery work. Before ordering, verify that swapping the PCB is likely to fix your drive by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs contain unique ROM (memory) data required for proper operation; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be transplanted, a local technician can usually perform the procedure. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service: we will either move the original ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
