This sale is for the hard drive PCB (circuit board / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We maintain a large inventory, so the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the pictured unit. This PCB is sold for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD PCBs store unique information in a ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to function correctly; that ROM chip or its data must be moved to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed. If you cannot perform the ROM transfer yourself, a local computer technician can typically handle the chip transplant.
