This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Due to our large inventory the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or HDD repair. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most WD PCBs store unique parameters in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer, a local computer technician can usually transplant the chip. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto your new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
